Stuff you might be interested in.

Yeah, I'm in my Japanese-frenzy mode. Should be sleeping, but I can't lose focus enough to fall asleep.

Twipple is basically the Japanese version of Twitter.

As I was flipping through Twipple, I also found this seemingly important livestream of something to do with electricity.  I honestly have no idea what anyone is saying, but hey, I feel cool listening to people actually talk Japanese (not Japenglish) really quickly (unlike animes, where even if they speak pure Japanese, they say it relatively slowly).  So here it is:

Crazy shit, I'm telling ya.  As I'm writing this, it seems that the all-important meeting has just finished. So boohoo, y'all.  You missed out on something you probably didn't understand in the first place.

I spent the last hour sitting in darkness thinking about what I'm going to do for the month that I have between the end of college summer classes and the start of my high school fall classes (oh, and by the way: some of the guys in that livestream I posted have REALLY nice hair.  Well, not the baldie I'm seeing right now, but a few seconds ago they were showing some young guys-- damn they were hot.  I think you should also know that I happen to rank hairstyle very high in my criteria for dateable guys.  Hair is like the first thing I see when I look at ya.  Oh, did you see that? Oh dude! That guy who just picked up his jacket had really great hair! Dude-Who-Just-Picked-Up-Your-Jacket! Marry me! Just kidding. Kinda).  Obviously, I have to finish my high school summer homework, but according to certain reliable sources, it shouldn't really take more than 2 days two finish everything.
I do have to start studying for Academic Decathlon (the guy who walked by carrying his backpack had a really nice haircut-- oh there's Mr. Jacket again! J'taime! He has a goatee, by the way.  And a gray shirt.  And glasses) so that's something else I gotta do I guess. I'm going to focus on the music, Language & Literature, history, and science aspects for now, I think.  And I'm going to decide and at least outline my speech for this year.  Expect to hear about this in future blogs!
I want to just hang out with my friends for the remainder of the summer.  It'd be nice if I went on some vacation somewhere (like Comic-Con) but I really can't imagine doing that.  In particular, I would like to spend quality time with my non-lesbian lovers (^////^) Sandra, Emily, and Megan.  We've been talking a lot recently, so I've really been able to bond with them.  I want to start a reading/writing routine with Sandra, where we just read crap, talk about it, and write whatever the hell we want, and share it with each other.  Just because I was inspired by my English 1A class this summer. Hehehehe..
I so need to get back in shape.  Like seriously, I've had no P.E. whatsoever since eighth grade.  Recently I've lost about 3 pounds, but I'm thinking that's because I'm losing even more muscle and gaining more fat.  Just great.  Of course, I'm going to go to the gym all Fall and Spring Semesters of this coming school year, but honestly, who wants to go to the gym all bent out of shape and struggling to work out even a full hour?  That's like so gross.  I don't want to embarrass myself in front of a crowd of people (because believe me, the gyms in Stockton are crowded), so I think I'll start working out more with Sandra.  Who knows, maybe we'll even go on a diet together!  And I'll invite Emily, too, since she has to start conditioning for her hockey season anyway! Ya~y!
(The guys on the livestream keep bowing to each other.  I've got to say, I like the whole idea of being super respectful to each other in Japan, but it almost seems a little apologetic.  Oh, it seems the livesteam is over people.  The number of people is rapidly decreasing... 645... 620.....614.....605... And off-air! Waddaya know.)

Okay, so before I stop talking (because I know you all want me to), I just want to talk about the 2012 Presidential Elections a little bit.  I understand this is a bit out of character for me, since all I talk about it manga, anime, and myself on this blog, but I do follow politics (at least a little bit) and I do have a few ideas, so please bear with me a little (if your even still reading by this point).  I've recently seen a lot of videos on Youtube about Obama's sexiness, and people are changing their Facebook names to show their support for him (for example, some guy whose Profile Name used to be his legal name, Anthony Jackson, changes it to Anthony Obama.  I'd just like to say to anyone who doesn't use their legal name in Facebook: this f*cking pisses people off.  How are we supposed to find you on Facebook if you don't even have your name on it?
And don't say that your name is on your Facebook, because you privatized your Info page).  I have a problem with this form of campaigning.  It might (I'm not saying it is, I'm just playing with the possibility) be a step higher than mudslinging campaigns where all the candidates do is spread shit about each other, but it's not a very rational basis for choosing your campaign.  I remember back in 2008, nobody really knew who Obama was until the sensational Youtube video came out, "Crush on Obama."

Personally, I have nothing to say about Obama's appearances (he's just not my type) except that it was extremely wrong of Americans to vote for him just because he was black.  This country preaches about racial equality, but if we truly want to be equal, then race shouldn't even be an issue in issues such as presidential elections.  That's f*cking affirmative action, and it's unfair.
But that's not really the point I wanted to make, because at any rate, Obama was elected president.  I don't even care if he's re-elected next year, since I don't really have any faith in any of the candidates I've seen running so far-- Republic or Democrat.  I've learned recently that both parties are basically the same thing-- they take your money but don't do squat shit.  Actually, all politicians are like that, whether their part of the Democrat-Republic category system or not.
What I have a problem with is that so many Americans are probably going to vote for Obama simply because of video's like "Crush on Obama".  It's like people don't understand how important the position of PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES actually is.  The President makes decisions about the lives of millions of people.  The actions that the President makes will in some form affect history.  The President can make or break this country, can restore or decimate the economy.  These traits aren't decided because he looks sexy in a badly CG-ed image of him in a swimsuit or because a funny video of him has 22 million views.  You shouldn't even vote for him because you think he should be given "more time to do what it is that he had planned when he entered office" (I hold this opinion because why the f*ck didn't he get it done in the 4 years allotted to him?  Screw any excuses about how "this is a very difficult job, that can't be done within a blink of an eye".  You know, in the real world, your superior doesn't really care about personal circumstances or anything-- you get the work that you said you gonna get done done, or else you're out of a job.  And if it doesn't look like you could do what you said you could do, then you're not gonna get the job in the first place.  Why should we make an exception for the President of the United States?  Actually, shouldn't we be harsher on the President, since he holds such an important role?)
Anyway, if you think Obama is a competent enough to fulfill his duties as President and follow through on those promises he made back in the 2008 campaign, then fine.  I'm not going to argue with you there, quit simply because I no longer have any faith in American politics.  But if you do think that he's competent enough, and you do think that he should be re-elected, then you must ask yourself why you hold that opinion. Why is he competent?  What evidence do you have to support that?  What actions has he done to prove your claims?   And when you look for that evidence, you better make sure your sources are reliable.  Don't go basing your vote on some blog you read online. (I have problems with the "reliable sources" thing, though, since all sources available to the common American are biased.  They are also published through the lens of either a raging Democrat-- CNN-- or a fierce Republic -- FOX.  I don't trust news of TV, I don't trust most radio talk show hosts, I don't trust magazines or newspapers.  I basically don't trust anything).

Have fun listening to all the garbage campaigns, ladies and gents.  I hope you enjoyed this blog entry, and are actually going to go out and critically analyze your own political views.  I know I have this last summer.
Toodles, and I'm going to sleep.
