Hindu art

So I'm taking a humanities class on the religions/philosophies of eastern Asia, and right now we're learning about Hinduism.  Looking at all the pictures in the textbook, it struck me that Hindu art is a great source for... for that one word that I can't really think of right now [argh]. 

I have no idea which gods/goddesses I did or did not include or what their stories are, but they sure do look cool!
